Music for Relaxation and Meditation

Here’s a short (8 minute) track I put together for relaxation and meditation. To use it for relaxation, simply listen to it using earphones in both ears.

For meditation, again, use earphones in both ears, and try to different the different layers in the audio. The following layers exist.

  • Beat
  • Chorus 1
  • Chorus 2
  • Piano 1
  • Binaural Beat
  • Forest sounds
  • Waves

Jayanthi Narayan shared some feedback, “There are two ways to enjoy it. Firstly, one should have an active imagination; like I was thinking I am in a valley with flowers all around, a river flowing by and birds chirping. Secondly, I tried to feel the beats from head to toe and back, while keeping my eyes closed. Both the experiences were truly relaxing. Thank you for sharing.

When you find one layer, focus on listening to just that for a while. Some layers will be easy to find, others will be more difficult. As you continue to explore and focus on layers, you will enter a state of trance, perhaps begin to see hypnagogic images.
